our Volunteers spend their OWN time & money rescuing pugs!

Our primary rescuer, Michelle H., has taken on the majority of the costs herself and it's tough to keep the costs under control.  We have a great Dogtor that helps us with veterinary fees but it is still costly.  All animals get an intake vet check to make sure they are healthy enough to be re-homed.  We make sure they are updated on all their shots and licensed and tagged with the county.  Many of them need surgical procedures before they can be placed in a new home, most commonly to be spayed or neutered, but many more have been neglected to the point where more extreme surgeries are necessary.  We try not to turn any pugs or pug mixes away, but we're falling behind on our Dogtor bills a little bit... Any help you can provide is used solely for the care of the rescued animals.

If you would like to "HUG A PUG" and make a donation to assist a pug awaiting his or her forever home, we accept donations of all kinds including food, leashes, toys, harnesses, beds, crates, etc... Click below to donate monetarily, and let us know the name of the pug you want to hug.  Please include a little about you so we can put you on our sponsors page!  Keep in mind since we're a nonprofit rescue, at your request we'll post a receipt from Buena Pet Clinic each time a donation is received!
